SIGNING THE PETITION
Signing the petition does not commit you to joining the District. It only allows the annexation process to advance to the official election, where you'll have the opportunity to cast your actual vote.
SIGNING THE PETITION IS NOT A VOTE FOR YES
Your signature on the petition matters because we need 50% plus 1 of the overall assessed value of our neighborhood to bring the petition to a hearing before the board at the water district.
Signing the petition does not commit you to joining the District. It only allows the annexation process to advance to the official election, where you'll have the opportunity to cast your actual vote.
Signing the petition and voting are two separate steps. The petition only triggers the next phase — the actual decision to join WD17 is made later at the ballot box.
